What happened: Jackson was hurt on Saturday's opening kickoff. He returned to Philadelphia with the club after a hospital evaluation.

Why it matters: The moves create two roster openings ahead of Sunday's 53-man cutdown. Jackson will revert to injured reserve if he clears waivers.

By the numbers: Jackson signed Aug. 10 and was waived/injured Aug. 24.

What to watch: Jackson's waiver status is the next procedural step. Final roster cuts are due Sunday at 6 p.m. ET.
