What happened: Philadelphia is signing quarterback Joe Milton off the Dallas practice squad to its 53-man roster. The addition pulls a quarterback directly from NFC East rival Dallas. Milton rejoined Dallas on its practice squad in early September after clearing waivers.

Why it matters: Philadelphia adds a developmental passer without giving up draft capital. Dallas loses emergency depth at the sport's most important position to a division rival. The move shifts near-term QB-room flexibility for both clubs entering the stretch of the regular season.

What to watch: Watch for Philadelphia's corresponding 53-man move and whether Dallas refills its practice-squad quarterback opening.
