The Bahamas, I'm told, do hope to have Philadelphia's VJ Edgecombe in the lineup Monday against visiting Panama after a Via @TheSteinLine on X

What happened: The Bahamas hope to have Philadelphia's VJ Edgecombe in the lineup Monday against Panama after beating Uruguay 103-94 without him. Canada rested Nickeil Alexander-Walker and Lu Dort in that same window but could bring both back Monday against Argentina.

Why it matters: Both games fall in FIBA World Cup qualifying, where roster depth and star availability shape who finishes the window unbeaten. The Bahamas won a game without their most notable NBA piece, while Canada has enough margin to manage minutes on Alexander-Walker and Dort ahead of a tougher Argentina test.

By the numbers: Buddy Hield posted 28 points on 6-of-9 shooting from three with 7 rebounds in the 103-94 win over Uruguay.

What to watch: Bahamas face Panama and Canada faces Argentina Monday, with final lineup decisions on Edgecombe, Alexander-Walker and Dort expected before tip-off.
