What happened: Eight pending free agents received one-year qualifying offers before Monday's deadline, including Randy Arozarena, Seiya Suzuki, and David Bednar. Jake Bauers, Ryan Jeffers, Brandon Lowe, Adrian Morejon, and Trevor Rogers also received tenders.

Why it matters: Players who decline the offer attach draft-pick compensation to their free agency, requiring signing clubs to surrender draft assets while former teams receive compensatory selections. Players who accept remain under contract for the upcoming season at the fixed rate before entering unrestricted free agency next winter.

What to watch: All eight players have until next week to either accept the tender or reject it to enter the open market.
