ESPN: Lions should call Chiefs on Fulton, Steelers on Ramsey

What happened: ESPN's Jeremy Fowler named Chiefs cornerback Kristian Fulton and Steelers defensive back Jalen Ramsey as fits for Detroit. Detroit previously pursued Steelers cornerback Joey Porter Jr. without landing him.

Why it matters: Detroit's perimeter coverage needs help after the release of Terrion Arnold left the rotation thin. Fulton is a part-time outside corner owed $5 million guaranteed, a figure ESPN noted the clubs could split. Ramsey turns 32 later this month and now plays mostly nickel and safety, so he does not solve an outside-corner need.

By the numbers: Fulton: 16 tackles in 8 games in 2025 with Kansas City; 115 defensive snaps through four games in 2026 with 4 catches for 19 yards and an interception allowed on 8 targets. Ramsey: 88 tackles, 3 sacks and 1 interception in 17 games in 2025 with Pittsburgh; 148 tackles, 19 pass breakups and 3 interceptions from 2024-25. Porter: 52 tackles, 1 sack and 1 interception in 14 games in 2025 with Pittsburgh.

What to watch: Watch Fulton's snap share in Kansas City and whether Pittsburgh listens on Ramsey as the deadline nears.
