Estévez to miss season for right shoulder surgery

His $13 million 2027 club option now looms this offseason.

What happened: Carlos Estévez is scheduled for surgery next week after multiple setbacks during his rehabilitation. He has not pitched since March and was placed on the injured list in early April.
