On tonight's Mets Minute, @martinonyc has his eye on A.J. Ewing and Francisco Lindor 👀 Listen to the Mets Clubhouse Pas Via @Mets on X

What happened: A.J. Ewing and Francisco Lindor are the names in focus for the Mets before Tuesday night's scheduled game. The game has not started yet and remains 0-0 in New York.

Why it matters: The Mets are already out of the postseason race, so late-season attention is falling more heavily on players who can shape the club's finish. That keeps the focus on A.J. Ewing's recent offensive surge and on Lindor after his recent milestone chase entered the conversation.

By the numbers: New York enters at 66-78, has lost two straight and is 2-3 over its last five games while scoring 4.3 runs and allowing 4.5 per game.

What to watch: Watch whether Ewing and Lindor set the tone once the scheduled start arrives. Their late-season form should stay central over the club's final stretch.
