What happened: Atlanta failed to convert a first down on its opening offensive possession. The quick punt followed an opening defensive series that left the Falcons trailing 7-0 with 8:15 remaining in the first quarter.

Why it matters: Consecutive unsuccessful series on both sides of the ball put early pressure on Atlanta's game script inside the opening seven minutes.

What to watch: Atlanta's defense returns to the field seeking its first stop of the game to keep the margin at one score.
