What happened: Studying tape ahead of the matchup, Jeff Ulbrich said Caleb Williams has elevated from a franchise centerpiece into a league-wide standard. He also credited coordinator Ben Johnson for operating an offensive scheme with minimal weaknesses.

Why it matters: Atlanta's defense is working to tighten its run fits after linebacker Divine Deablo faulted his own execution following last week's loss to Baltimore. Ulbrich acknowledged that his weekly preparation did not feature enough gap-rushing looks before that game.

By the numbers: Atlanta allowed 208 rushing yards against the Ravens last week and recently placed linebacker Yasir Abdullah on injured reserve after a four-quarterback-hit outing.

What to watch: The Falcons defense now shifts its focus to containing Johnson's scheme and limiting Williams.
