What happened: Woods joined Thursday morning's practice after spending the past two seasons with Atlanta. The move returns a familiar linebacker to the camp roster.

Why it matters: Woods brings continuity to a special-teams unit replacing several core contributors. His arrival also adds competition at linebacker early in camp.

What to watch: His practice role and special-teams workload will show where he fits in the roster competition.
