What happened: Atlanta will elevate Herbert to the active roster to pair with Robinson in the Week 7 backfield, per Marc Raimondi and Daniel Flick. The move comes as the Falcons manage a long list of questionable players heading into the weekend, including several cornerbacks.

Why it matters: Elevating Herbert gives Atlanta experienced depth behind its primary ballcarrier without using a permanent 53-man roster spot. Herbert, who scored a preseason touchdown in August, steps directly into the No. 2 role to spell Robinson.

What to watch: Atlanta will finalize its game-day inactives and the availability of its questionable cornerbacks ahead of Sunday's kickoff.
