What happened: Atletico San Luis is set to sign Chilean forward Felipe Mora from the Portland Timbers, with the move first reported by CLMerlo and confirmed by sources. Mora will play one final game for the Timbers on Saturday before departing, closing out his seventh season with the club.

Why it matters: Mora has been a fixture in Portland's attack, and his exit comes as the Timbers prepare to host Real Salt Lake on Saturday with the match scheduled and scoreless. His departure marks the end of a lengthy run with the club he has been tied to since 2020.

By the numbers: Portland enters Saturday 1-1 this season, averaging 3.5 goals scored and 1.5 allowed, and coming off a 5-1 win at Seattle. Real Salt Lake is 0-1 this season, on a five-game skid, averaging 1.0 goals scored and 3.0 allowed.

What to watch: Watch for confirmation of Mora's move to Atletico San Luis once Saturday's match against Real Salt Lake concludes.
