What happened: The Indiana Fever celebrated forward Grace VanSlooten’s birthday on Tuesday as the team continues its 2026 WNBA campaign. VanSlooten joined the roster in May on a rest-of-season contract after appearing in four games for the Seattle Storm earlier this season.

Why it matters: Indiana currently holds an 8–5 record, positioning them third in the Eastern Conference standings. VanSlooten adds depth to a frontcourt anchored by Aliyah Boston as the Fever seek to solidify their playoff positioning in the early half of the season.

By the numbers: VanSlooten (2026): 3.2 PPG, 1.0 RPG, 66.7% FG. Fever (2026): 8–5 record, 3rd in Eastern Conference.

What to watch: Indiana hosts the Toronto Tempo tonight at Gainbridge Fieldhouse for their first matchup of the season.
