What happened: The forward paired his playmaking with 15 points and eight rebounds in the road matchup against Phoenix. The performance marked his second double-digit assist outing in four games, following an 11-assist effort on Oct. 31.

Why it matters: His expanded distribution role anchors the offense early in the 2026-27 regular season. Sustaining this playmaking pace would represent a significant leap in offensive production at the forward position.

By the numbers: Wagner has recorded 19.6 points per game and 6.4 rebounds per game and 8.5 assists per game in 2026-27 through 8 games.

What to watch: Wagner looks to sustain his playmaking volume across the next stretch of the 2026-27 regular season.
