What happened: Free-agent cornerback Jakorian Bennett visited the Carolina Panthers on Thursday, one day after clearing waivers, per Mike Garafolo. Bennett became an unrestricted free agent after being waived by the Philadelphia Eagles on Nov. 3.

Why it matters: Carolina is evaluating cornerback depth after falling 27-19 at Green Bay in its last outing. Bennett offers defensive back reinforcement as the Panthers adjust their secondary rotation.

What to watch: Carolina will determine whether to sign Bennett to its active roster or practice squad ahead of its next regular-season contest.
