What happened: The Raiders signed wide receiver Cody White on Thursday. In a corresponding transaction, the team waived tight end Carter Runyon. The moves come one day after the club released White and placed Runyon on injured reserve.

Why it matters: White adds depth to the receiving corps as the Raiders manage roster turnover midway through the 2026 regular season. Runyon, in his second NFL season, previously appeared in 13 games for the franchise in 2025.

By the numbers: Last season (2025), White caught 3 passes for 90 yards and 1 touchdown in 10 games with the Seahawks. Runyon recorded 1 reception for 3 yards in 13 games with the Raiders last season (2025).

What to watch: White returns to the practice field immediately as the Raiders prepare for their next regular-season matchup.
