What happened: Garrett Temple now serves as an assistant coach for the Dallas Mavericks as the new NBA regular season gets underway. His move from the active roster to the bench coincides with the seasonal return of the Who He Play For broadcast segment.

Why it matters: Temple became a staple of the annual trivia quiz across his playing tenure, with Ernie regularly testing Chuck on the veteran's latest team. Shifting into a coaching role with Dallas removes a perennial question mark from the active player pool.

What to watch: Dallas proceeds through its regular-season slate with Temple contributing from the Mavericks sideline.
