What happened: George Holani scored on a rushing touchdown in the Thursday night game in Denver. The touchdown came in a one-possession game carried on Prime Video.

Why it matters: Rushing production from depth backs shapes short-yardage roles during the 2026 regular season. A touchdown on national television adds to Holani's case for continued carries.

By the numbers: Per ESPN as of Sept. 29, 2026, Holani is in his third NFL season out of Boise State. In 2025, he ran 22 times for 73 yards and 1 touchdown in 11 games.

What to watch: Coming games will show whether the score leads to more carries and goal-line work for Holani.
