What happened: The New York Giants widened their lead in the NFC East while idle during their bye week. Losses by division rivals allowed New York to strengthen its position in the standings without taking the field.

Why it matters: The shift provides key separation in a historically contested divisional race. The expanded cushion reinforces the Giants' NFC East title chances heading into the second half of the season.

What to watch: New York returns from the break to defend its division lead through the remainder of the regular season.
