What happened: The Pro Football Hall of Fame named Ralph Hay, Robert Kraft, Virginia McCaskey, Doug Williams and John Wooten as its five finalists in the Contributor category, per Mike Garafolo.

Why it matters: Only one of the five will advance from the group, which the Contributor Subcommittee trimmed for the Class of 2027.

What to watch: A Nov. 17 meeting will narrow the five finalists to one candidate for election.
