What happened: Hasan opened UFC Shanghai’s main card less than three weeks after earning his contract on Dana White’s Contender Series. Rojas also made his UFC debut in the flyweight bout.

Why it matters: The result preserved Hasan’s unbeaten record and handed Rojas his first professional loss. Hasan’s rapid move from Contender Series winner to UFC finisher strengthens his position in the flyweight division.

By the numbers: Hasan and Rojas entered with a combined 18-0 record. Rojas had recorded seven knockouts across his nine victories.

What to watch: Hasan’s next booking will indicate how quickly the UFC intends to advance him against established flyweights.
