What happened: Kaden Feagin transitioned from running back to tight end after arriving at Illinois from Atwood. His prep dominance and physical frame drew comparisons to NFL running back Derrick Henry as coaches evaluated his developmental trajectory.

Why it matters: The position switch provides Illinois with size and flexibility in multiple tight end formations across Big Ten play. Feagin's offensive role expands the playbook as the program develops its blocking and pass-catching schemes.

What to watch: Nebraska visits Illinois on Friday, Nov. 6, with kickoff scheduled for 8:00 PM ET.
