What happened: The departure comes with the organization facing scrutiny over 'simmering disquiet' internally, per the New York Post. It closes an executive stint that saw the Indiana Fever set a WNBA record with a 12th 100-point game in a 105-95 victory.

Why it matters: A leadership vacancy atop the front office complicates roster construction and free-agency preparation ahead of the upcoming 2027 WNBA season. Ownership must now install a new decision-maker to stabilize basketball operations before winter player movement begins.

What to watch: Indiana will name an interim or permanent replacement to direct basketball operations for the 2027 offseason.
