What happened: Interim president Trent Redden disclosed the injury at Clippers media day Monday. The partial tear was found when Ingram had heel surgery in May and both issues were repaired in the same procedure.
Why it matters: Ingram was projected as a focal point alongside Darius Garland after the trade that sent Kawhi Leonard to Toronto. Los Angeles completed that deal Sept. 14 and later lost five consecutive first-round picks from 2029-33 as league sanctions.
By the numbers: Ingram, 29, averaged 21.5 points, 5.6 rebounds and 3.7 assists on 47.7% shooting and 38.2% from three last season to earn his second All-Star nod.
