What happened: The checking forward joined practice in Edmonton. The skate came during preseason camp ahead of the 2026-27 season.

Why it matters: A healthy checking line steadies penalty-kill assignments for opening night. Management is dealing from eight defenders to add a forward, so bottom-six availability shapes final cuts.

What to watch: Watch his participation level through the rest of camp and whether he dresses for the next preseason game.
