What happened: Ipswich Town captain Maria Boswell has signed a contract extension with the club for the 2026-27 season. The Tractor Girls announced the deal Thursday afternoon on their official club website.

Why it matters: The move gives Ipswich continuity around a captain who has been with the club since the summer of 2019. It also settles one leadership piece before the next campaign, keeping a familiar figure in the dressing room as roster plans take shape.

What to watch: Watch for Ipswich to continue shaping its retained list and squad plans ahead of preseason.
