That fake with only 1.5 secs left on the clock 🥶 Iyana Martin is COLD. 😳 #FIBAWWC https://t.co/1AB1hDW3yj Via @FIBAWWC on X

What happened: Iyana Martin used a fake with 1.5 seconds left on the clock. The sequence came during group play in Berlin.

Why it matters: The 20-year-old is making her senior World Cup debut after winning U19 World Cup MVP and EuroLeague Women Young Player of the Year honors. Her 2025 EuroBasket debut was limited to three games by illness.

By the numbers: Through two games, Martin is averaging 16.0 points, 4.0 assists and 3.5 rebounds in 22.1 minutes. She is shooting 55.0% from the field, 50.0% from three and 100% at the line.

What to watch: Group winners advance directly to the quarterfinals; second- and third-place finishers enter a single-elimination qualifying round.
