What happened: Baltimore quarterback Lamar Jackson is described as questionable at best for Sunday. Washington's quarterback situation remains in flux entering the week. Tyquan Thornton's injury has further opened the door for Tyreek Hill's return to Kansas City.

Why it matters: Baltimore's availability at quarterback shapes AFC positioning early in October. Kansas City closed Sunday with a 30-27 final and wide receiver health dictates whether a Hill reunion accelerates.

By the numbers: Jackson completed 192 of 302 passes for 2,549 yards with 21 touchdowns and 7 interceptions in 13 games in 2025. Thornton caught 19 passes for 438 yards and 3 touchdowns in 14 games in 2025 with Kansas City. Jackson left Sunday in a walking boot before being scheduled for MRI on ankle.

What to watch: Practice participation later in the week will clarify Jackson and Washington availability and whether Kansas City makes a roster move.
