What happened: ESPN's Jeff Passan highlighted how Jacob Misiorowski pairs rare on-field stuff with clubhouse stories that leave teammates questioning whether they can be true. The right-hander was tabbed Tuesday to open the championship series at home.

Why it matters: Drawing the opening assignment lines Misiorowski up to pitch twice if the best-of-seven series goes the distance. He already handled series-opening postseason duty on Oct. 4, when his short outing ended in a victory.

What to watch: How deep Misiorowski works into tonight's opener will dictate bullpen usage heading into Saturday's Game 2.
