.@Jaguars rookie DE Bryan Thomas Jr. recorded 3.5 sacks in preseason 💪 How many will he grab this year? CLEvsJAX – Sund Via @NFL on X

What happened: Thomas finished second in NFL preseason sacks and tied for first with six quarterback pressures. [Jacksonville Jaguars](https://www.jaguars.com/news/what-rookie-de-bryan-thomas-jr-brings-to-jaguars-initial-2026-53-player-roster-all-about-urgency)

Why it matters: His regular-season role will determine how much that production can help the pass rush. Preseason results alone do not establish his place in the defensive rotation.

By the numbers: Thomas recorded 2.5 sacks in the preseason finale, accounting for roughly 71% of his preseason total. [Jacksonville Jaguars](https://www.jaguars.com/news/game-report-2026-preseason-week-3-jaguars-19-buccaneers-0)

What to watch: Watch for Thomas's defensive snaps Sunday, with kickoff scheduled for 1 p.m. ET on CBS and Paramount+.
