What happened: The move trims the active roster ahead of Thursday's home date against Minnesota. Harkins had been skating alongside Geekie and Viel on the fourth line in practice.

Why it matters: Clearing a forward spot creates flexibility with Dominic James back as a full practice participant. Syracuse keeps Harkins game-ready while the fourth-line mix settles.

What to watch: Watch Thursday's warmup to see who slots into that fourth-line wing.
