What happened: Jaylin Williams was assessed a turnover during Monday night's NBA action after pausing with the ball to help a fallen teammate off the floor.

Why it matters: Under NBA scoring rules, any live-ball miscue or violation that surrenders team possession before a field-goal attempt is recorded on the responsible player's stat line.

What to watch: The giveaway enters the official 2026-27 regular-season ledger as the league schedule continues this week.
