What happened: Peterson was called at No. 2 and said his confidence did not change. He will chronicle the 2026-27 season in a monthly diary with Marc Spears for Andscape, covering life on and off the court.

Why it matters: Second overall picks enter with immediate expectations in Utah. A season-long diary gives a steady account of that adjustment beyond box scores.

What to watch: The diary is slated to run through the 2026-27 season, with the next entry due next month.
