What happened: A recently released former UFC fighter has called for a wrestling match with Jean Silva, opening a possible detour from Silva's next MMA booking. Silva is coming off a submission win over Jose Miguel Delgado in the Noche UFC featherweight main event at Desert Diamond Arena. The finish came 2:57 into the third round and moved Silva to 18-3-0.

Why it matters: The challenge lands in a year when Silva was already tied to the featherweight title picture, so any grappling-only matchup would sit alongside live UFC stakes. It also keeps Silva in the conversation beyond one result, which matters as contenders jostle for position around the division's next title shot.

What to watch: Watch whether the challenge develops into a formal grappling booking or fades behind Silva's next UFC assignment. Silva's immediate follow-up after a main-event finish is the key decision point.
