"The game's slowing down for him" @AshtonJeanty2 on Fernando Mendoza's development @RapSheet | @RealMikeRob | @Raider

What happened: Fernando Mendoza worked with the first-team offense for the first time in camp Saturday. Las Vegas had opened camp with the rookie quarterback in reserve, leaving his 2026 role unsettled.

Why it matters: First-team exposure gives coaches a higher-level test of Mendoza's command before the season. His progression carries added weight after Las Vegas invested the top draft pick in him.

By the numbers: Mendoza was selected No. 1 overall on April 24 and reached first-team work by Aug. 8.

What to watch: Watch whether Mendoza remains with the first unit and how his workload changes during the preseason.
