Raiders, 3-4 after four straight losses, weigh trade deadline path

Two losses were by a field goal: Buffalo and Kansas City

What happened: Head coach Klint Kubiak told Sam Warren of The Athletic on Wednesday that Las Vegas is discussing trade scenarios "every day," adding: "Especially this close to the deadline, you're talking about many scenarios." The Raiders opened 3-0 and lost 35-21 to the Rams on Sunday, with the Nov. 10 deadline now less than two weeks out.

Why it matters: The roster question runs through quarterback. After the Rams loss, Kubiak said "at this point we're thinking about everything" when asked about benching Kirk Cousins for No. 1 overall pick Fernando Mendoza. Two days later he told Vincent Bonsignore of The California Post that Cousins is the starter, a point Wire Report covered Monday. Tre Tucker and tight end Brock Bowers lead the receiving group, and the line and receiver room are the likeliest spots for a buyer's upgrade.

By the numbers: Raiders: 3-4, seed 10, lost four straight. Two defeats came by a field goal, to the Bills and the Chiefs. Tre Tucker: 29 receptions, 474 yards, 4 touchdowns. Defense: 16 sacks, 30 tackles for loss. Bowers (calf) was limited in Wednesday practice and is listed questionable.

What to watch: If Las Vegas sells, guard/center Jackson Powers-Johnson, a backup behind Tyler Linderbaum with one year left on his rookie deal, is a candidate to move before Nov. 10.
