What happened: Winnipeg Jets players are preparing for difficult conversations if Connor Hellebuyck rejoins them next week, per ESPN. He was suspended after failing to report to training camp following a trade request.

Why it matters: Reintegrating a former MVP after a camp absence would reshape Winnipeg's roster and goaltending plans. Continued trade discussions keep his long-term future uncertain beyond next week.

What to watch: The end of the suspension next week will determine whether Hellebuyck reports or a move materializes first.
