What happened: Winnipeg's newest additions took the ice in Jets gear for their initial skate with the club. The on-ice session comes with the Winnipeg Jets and Montreal Canadiens scheduled to meet at 0-0 in regular-season play.

Why it matters: Getting the recent acquisitions acclimated during team skates is an immediate step as Winnipeg integrates its reshaped roster. How quickly the new arrivals settle into the system will dictate coaching deployment entering the Montreal matchup.

What to watch: Official lineup combinations and ice-time deployment will be set prior to puck drop between the Canadiens and Jets.
