What happened: Terrell returned to practice Wednesday after spending time on the reserve list. To open the active roster spot Saturday, Atlanta placed offensive tackle Michael Jerrell on injured reserve with a bicep injury.

Why it matters: With Terrell and C.J. Henderson unavailable last week, No. 48 draft pick Avieon Terrell stepped in to start on the boundary in his older brother's place. Getting the veteran defender back helps offset Friday's injury report, which ruled out linebacker Divine Deablo and running back Brian Robinson while elevating running back Khalil Herbert.

By the numbers: Atlanta holds a 2-4 record and the No. 9 conference seed on a two-game losing streak after falling 31-23 to the Chicago Bears on Oct. 18.

What to watch: Terrell is set to return to game action Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers.
