What happened: Appearing on "The Show" podcast with Joel Sherman and Jon Heyman, Jorge Posada said he feels uncomfortable around the Yankees organization and stated, "I don't think they want me there." Following the conversation, Sherman examined what role the former catcher wants and how New York's leadership should respond.

Why it matters: New York is navigating an offseason focused on an offensive reset following its 2026 ALDS elimination and recent coaching staff turnover. Sherman noted that Posada's baseball instincts and approach could help address the club's hitting and accountability issues.

What to watch: Whether the Yankees extend an invitation to Posada for a formal or advisory role remains an open question as winter roster and staff decisions continue.
