It's always going to be a good matchup between Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen (via @alexbrasky) https://t.co/FUB9nGigPA Via @NFLonFOX on X

What happened: Josh Allen credited Lamar Jackson ahead of their matchup, saying a competitor always wants to go up against the 'best of the best.' Allen noted that Jackson has been one of the NFL's top performers since entering the league as the 32nd overall pick out of Louisville in 2018.

Why it matters: The praise underscores a high-stakes regular-season meeting for a Ravens quarterback who leads the league in EPA per play. Baltimore is looking to halt its slide after falling 35-13 to the Cincinnati Bengals on Oct. 25.

By the numbers: Jackson paced all NFL quarterbacks at 0.380 EPA per play as of Oct. 22 and topped PFF's yards-per-attempt ledger at 9.8 earlier in October.

What to watch: Jackson carries a questionable designation with an ankle issue after being spotted on the field at the start of Wednesday's practice.
