What happened: Dallas Cowboys cornerback Joey Porter Jr. took reps in pass-coverage drills on Thursday, per Ed Werder. The 2023 second-round pick out of Penn State is logging a full practice week after recovering from a back injury and an Oct. 9 illness absence against Tampa Bay.

Why it matters: Consistent availability in defensive coordinator Christian Parker's secondary gives head coach Brian Schottenheimer a boundary corner who locked down Green Bay receivers Christian Watson and Matthew Golden in his first full game with Dallas. Owner Jerry Jones stated Wednesday that the franchise will look to buy rather than sell ahead of the Nov. 10 trade deadline as the club works to climb back to .500.

What to watch: Dallas issues its final game-status designations on Friday before hosting the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.
