Jonah Cox goes dead center for the lead 💥 https://t.co/7crPo0aVCt

What happened: Cox drove the ball to straightaway center during Wednesday's game. The swing turned a 2-2 tie into a 4-2 advantage.

Why it matters: It marked his third major-league home run, three days after a 384-foot drive in Boston. The surge offers a tangible return from his Aug. 14 recall.

By the numbers: Launch angle: 30 degrees. Cox has homered twice in four days.

What to watch: The final innings will determine whether Cox's swing stands as the winning hit.
