What happened: Jose Ramirez drew a sixth-inning walk in Game 4 against the Rays, extending his postseason on-base streak to 16 consecutive games. The plate appearance tied Steven Kwan's Cleveland Guardians

Why it matters: Ramirez's plate discipline anchors Cleveland's offense in front of a sellout crowd of 33,355 during the ALCS. Matching Kwan's benchmark underscores the top-of-the-order stability powering the Guardians' October run.

By the numbers: Ramirez has reached base in 16 straight postseason games dating back to 2024, tying Kwan's 2022-24 club record, and has reached in 14 of his last 26 plate appearances this postseason.

What to watch: Ramirez can take sole possession of the Guardians' postseason on-base record by reaching safely in his next playoff game.
