What happened: Caminero was slow to get up after taking a pitch during the midsummer contest in Philadelphia. He subsequently departed the field and did not resume play in the exhibition.

Why it matters: Any missed time when the regular schedule resumes would impact a Tampa Bay lineup centered around the same Junior Caminero who led American League third base All-Star voting. The 2026 Home Run Derby participant established himself as the focal point of the club's offense during the first half.

By the numbers: Caminero produced 27 home runs across 87 regular-season games prior to the All-Star break.

What to watch: Tampa Bay is expected to provide an official status update prior to resuming the regular-season schedule following the All-Star break.
