Juventus close to free-agent deal with Neto, eye Palmisani for 2027-28

37-year-old cover after Grabara knee injury

Wire Report IntelligenceUpdated Sep 231 min read

What happened: Multiple outlets in Italy claim Neto would sign through the end of the season as a free agent. Juventus opened talks after second-choice Kamil Grabara suffered a knee injury the day after debuting in Europe.

Why it matters: Goalkeeper depth is immediate with Guglielmo Vicario also on loan and European fixtures continuing. Palmisani, 22, is tracked as a future starter after his MOTM performance in Frosinone's 2-0 win over Como on Sunday.

By the numbers: Neto, 37, made 22 appearances for Juventus from 2015-18 with 13 clean sheets. Palmisani, 22, started Sunday and kept a clean sheet in Frosinone's 2-0 win over Como.

What to watch: Watch for final approval on Neto's short-term contract and continued monitoring of Palmisani through the season.
