What happened: Kaitlyn Chen banked in a shot at Ballhalla during Saturday's Game 1 of the 2026 WNBA Finals against the Atlanta Dream. Chen took the court for the series opener and also connected on a 3-pointer earlier in the contest to cap a 9-0 Golden State run.

Why it matters: Golden State is hosting the opening game of the championship series after Chen drew a Most Improved Player push entering the 2026 postseason. Bench scoring from the Valkyries backcourt helps counter an Atlanta offense paced early by Allisha Gray's 19 points.

What to watch: Golden State and Atlanta will complete Game 1 at Ballhalla to establish the opening lead of the 2026 WNBA Finals.
