What happened: Rookie guard Keaton Wagler connected with veteran guard Kris Dunn, who previously detailed mentoring the first-year guard, for a basket during Wednesday's game. The pass pushed Wagler over three assists for the night after the duo previously linked up on an October 4 preseason three-pointer.

Why it matters: Dunn took over the starting shooting guard spot on October 21 as he begins his third season on the roster. Building live-action chemistry between the veteran perimeter defender and the fifth overall draft pick establishes the early rotation hierarchy.

What to watch: Wagler and Dunn will continue sharing backcourt minutes as the 2026-27 regular-season schedule progresses.
