What happened: The deal sends Olynyk to Europe ahead of the 2026-27 season. Roma adds an experienced frontcourt piece after Olynyk's stint with Boston.

Why it matters: The move takes the same Kelly Olynyk linked to veteran-minimum NBA interest in August off the late-offseason market. For Roma, it is a notable veteran addition as clubs lock in rosters for the 2026-27 campaign.

What to watch: Watch for contract specifics and Roma's opening rotation plans as camp moves forward. Any NBA ripple would center on one fewer experienced big remaining on the market.
