What happened: Kelly Olynyk is heading to Italy, joining BC Roma for the club's debut season. The move transitions the big man overseas after completing his 13th NBA campaign.

Why it matters: The signing adds an established veteran presence to the startup franchise co-founded by Donnie Nelson and Luka Doncic. It continues a busy stretch for the organization, which recently hired George Killebrew as president of global business operations.

What to watch: Roma continues building out its roster and front office ahead of its first tip-off.
